Job description for Country Manager

The Country Manager works to represent our company in a foreign country. This job is a senior role and will be responsible for managing operations and developing business in a given region or country. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash, and quality targets.

Country Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Liaising with head office and writing up quarterly and annual reports.
  2. Recruiting, vetting, and training new staff as needed.
  3. Researching the country or region thoroughly and adapting strategies accordingly.
  4. Monitoring performance at all levels and scheduling training as required.
  5. Implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring consistency.
  6. Building professional relationships with governing bodies and clients.
  7. Maintaining a good image of the organization at all times.

Country Manager Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Around 5 years of experience in banking, remittance, or financial sector.
  • A good knowledge base of the country/region, and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Good leadership and people-management skills.
  • Experience living abroad is advantageous.
  • Sensitivity to different cultural norms.
